Real-World Evidence Generation
I use data generated during routine healthcare delivery to develop high-quality evidence of efficacy, safety and usage in the real world.
As electronic health records, registries and patient-generated data proliferate, the influence and importance of real-world data is growing.
I combine large datasets with appropriate study designs and statistical methods to produce robust, generalisable evidence more quickly and cost-effectively than can be achieved with a randomised controlled trial and more safely than can be done in settings where trials are risky or difficult to conduct.
With real-world evidence increasingly being used to support decisions by regulatory bodies such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence my focus is on planning, conducting and reporting studies that meet the high standards of relevance, transparency and integrity these bodies demand.
